Sneak Peek: Kathryn

This is from the workshop I did with Trevor Dayley a few weeks ago--Kathryn was such an awesome model! She was really good at giving all of the photographers (like maybe 15 of us?) good eye contact, and kind of made me feel like I was the only one taking pictures of her. And don't you just love her smile?? More to come soon!!

A Sneak Peek: More Audrey!

Can you tell who my free practice model is? Audrey and I took off to practice some of the new tricks that I learned with Trevor a few weeks ago, and let me tell you, these shots turned fabulously! Here's a sneak peek for you--no editing, just straight off my camera... I can't wait to see what they look like edited!

Audrey's Headshots + other fun

Here are the rest of Audrey's headshots (the top two). This was a neat shoot because we had like no light, and my camera was trying to compensate for it, and so it was super hard, but I think we got some great shots anyway!!

The rest of these are things I've been playing with since my workshop. The textures are a bit overboard, but I kind of love them anyway!

This one is kind of Andy Warhol, but I love it!

I had the fabulous opportunity to attend a workshop by the wonderful Trevor Daley last weekend. I learned so much!! It was marvelous darlings, let me tell you. One of the things I was really excited to learn was better editing techniques in Photoshop. Now, I don't do much editing, I like my pictures pretty raw, but this was incredible!! Let me show you the difference: I showed you this shot from Audrey's headshot session earlier--it's one of my favorites from the shoot.

Not to bad, right? This is with the minor editing that I do. Like really really minor.

Better, right? This one isn't super super drastic, but I love how much better it looks!!

Here's a bit more dramatic example. This is Erin, one of the beautiful women I work with. She had asked me to edit some photo's for here, and this was the first attempt.

Isn't she cute!? Here's what I could do to it after Trevor showed me the magic!

Heidi + Sam

Here are some more shots from Sam and Heidi's wedding -- I'm not going to lie, I get pretty impressed with myself every time I see them! And I figured out a watermark on photoshop--what do you think?

This one is my favorite -- the minute I saw this, I knew that Sam was perfect for Heidi. I love the adoration in his eyes.
